Product care

I want you to enjoy your Bonnie Kirkwood textiles for many years to come and pass them down through the generations.

Care information is included in the booklet enclosed with each product. Here is a summary of the provided information:

  • Wool is naturally stain and wrinkle resistant, as well as being hypoallergenic. You therefore shouldn’t need to wash your woollen interior accessories as often as other items.

  • If any odours do persist, I recommend airing your throw or cushion outside to freshen it.

  • In the event that washing is required, please use a dry cleaning service. Domestic washing machines can alter the way the fibres lay and affect the product’s longevity and finish.

  • I recommend avoiding catching your textiles on sharp or abrasive objects, as this can pull and create snags in the wool.

  • Unfortunately, moths love wool. The throws come in a drawstring bag with cedar balls, inside a sturdy box, designed to allow you to store the throw when not in use to help keep moths at bay.

  • If you have further care questions, please refer to our FAQs.
